Cobot Design
and Products.

Collaborative robotics has made its rise into industrial sectors through advancements in safety and robotic technology and demand in current years, bringing with it flexibility in applications and integration. Cobots rely on recognised safety standards ISO 10218-1 and ISO 13849-1, using accurate force feedback to limit their motion in Collaborative Mode to make them safe in design for operation around humans. Introducing additional safety permits the use of Robot Mode, heightening performance and maximising potential when personnel aren’t within the collaborative workspace.

We offer both turn-key and development solutions for Cobots, from auto labeller systems to custom program and tooling to suit your application. With our background in system integration, incorporating Cobots into your processes and machinery has never been easier.

  • Cobot Application Expertise
    Tailored Integration Solutions
    CAD and Simulation Available

Our Cobot services cover two major parts – hardware and software. Hardware determines the mechanical integration of the Cobot into its application utilising tooling, mounting and positioning inside a workspace. Software focusses on Cobot actions, motion and how it interacts with external architecture such as devices, PLCs and control systems. Our capabilities are only as limited as your endeavours -

Our integration services stem from programming to hardware and application design, with expertise in 3D simulation and CAD packages supplementing the design process. Trained and specialised in Omron’s TM and TMS Cobots, we bring you leading experience and advice to ensure you get the best solution for the job.

  • Designed In-House
    Flexible in Application
    Seamlessly Integrated

Through our extensive background in tracking and identification applications, we have developed an auto labelling system that can be deployed across a range of products and industries. Flexible for different label sizes, products and labellers, our auto labeller can be a seamless addition to your production line with our capabilities in system integration and Cobot design.

Our auto labeller is available as a turnkey package or for custom integration to cover all your needs.

  • Purpose-Built Designs
    Tailored for Cobot Use
    OEM Options Available

As with any worker, a Cobot is only as good as its tool. Purpose-built using the latest in manufacturing techniques and backed by experience and process knowledge, we can design and build custom tooling to support your Cobot application. With their growing popularity in industrial applications, we can also present a range of compatible OEM tooling for general applications from grippers to vacuum lifters.

We provide services in custom end-of-arm tooling (EOAT) design and hardware curation when you choose us to be your Cobot specialists. Take advantage of our in-depth knowledge in process design to ensure your EOAT is the right fit for your application.

Cobot
Selection.

A key part to any Cobot application is which Cobot to select. Omron offers a range of various sizes and payloads, all with distinct advantages from speed through to motion and weight for a specific task.

The suitability of a Cobot ranges from how tight a space is, how heavy product and tooling may be, and even the speed and distance required for the application.

Our Cobots
in action.

As a partnership between Omron and ourselves, we were tasked with developing a roadshow display to showcase the collaborative nature of Omron's TM series Cobots. As an endeavour into our newly-developed auto labellers, we decided to start small but strong with a single applicator head, which takes a label from an industrial printer and applies it direct to a pallet or product.

This tooling was developed with the label size and ease of manufacturing in mind, creating a robust yet highly flexible design to modify upon in later iterations. The video showcases Cobot mode, which is a slower but safer operating measure to remove the need for additional safety measures. Speed can be greatly increased if devices such as light curtains, guarding or scanners are implemented to remove personnel from the vicinity.
